2021 Charter School of the Year
Capitol Collegiate is the proud recipient of the California Charter School Association’s 2021 Charter School of the Year Award.
Originally established by the California Charter Schools Association’s predecessor, CANEC, in 1995, the award is named in honor of Gary K. Hart, retired California State Senator and former California Secretary of Education. While serving as a state senator, Hart sponsored the legislation that established California charter schools.
The award recognizes a school that has made significant contributions to the Association’s mission to increase student achievement by supporting and expanding California’s quality charter public school movement.
